Te genre Hip-hop is mostly listened to by males 15+ (commonly black), This would limit me to a niche audience. Hip-hop culture stereotypes include guns, tattoos, expensive big jewellery,  graffiti writing, new era caps, breaking dancing and most music videos include hundreds of women who are dressed scantily and dancing on top of expensive cars, showing money and luxury with expensive cars, jewellery and houses.

Hip-hop singer normally use over sized shirts and loose pants with big shoes, very similar to skaters shoes.

The hip hop music includes rapping and scratching where you are able to break dance.


If I started creating a music magazine for people who prefer hip hop genre I would include break dancing moves tutorial, popular outfits and brands, jewellery advertising ,some luxury products , include woman and the magazine could also show rappers opinions, events and concerts dates of famous rappers such as J-Z, Drake, Eminem, Lil Wayne, etc.

Most hip hop magazine covers include intimidating poses of elite people this encourages the target audience to be inspired by their icons. I was really surprised to find that there are specific poses which I used on magazine covers to connote specific meaning this is an area I will re-visit once I have decided on chosen genre.
