Pop music is upbeat and catchy which usually puts you in a good mood for this it is played out frequently in radio stations, adverts, films, TV programs, shopping centres and parties.
Pop is a universal genre and is made for a wide age group as the typical target is 15 to 21 mostly girls as most of the singers are female and a few male singer and boy bands that adored by girls.

This Billboard magazine is picturing a famous pop singer called Ariana Grande who started her fame being a young actress. Ariana Grande is 22 years old but she looks much younger than her original age which helps the target audience relate to her.

- black and white spots classy

- dress girly

- simple boxy dress modern

- golden bracelet expensive

- detailed makeup

- long painted nails delicacy

- not many puffs and cover lines calm

- long hair stereotypical of girls

- no dramatic face expression quiet

- the cover line "Ariana Grande's double life"

is highlighted in  black to drag more attention

as it links to her posing inside a prop as if she is hiding,

hiding her double life, which make the audience curious about

the big secret she was hiding.

If I did a pop magazine I would include the logo of
the outfit so that fans can be able to identify with the singer and  be on trend, I would use more girlie colours and inside the magazine many gossips, beauty
tutorials, products advertisement such as makeup products,
hair devices and accessories.


Pop singers

Even though they sing to the most popular genre they believe they don't earn enough money.
pop singers claim they don't make much money in the music industry because it is free online so people don't buy music, Cd's are now old fashion , as Lily Allen said

“Everyone assumes I made millions from the John Lewis ad. I probably made £8,000,”   but they do money from gigs, radio play, live shows, clubs, and even songs played in stores, restaurants and lifts or “There are the snobby launches of a new water at Claridge’s. Pointless stuff. And we all turn up because we get paid to be there,” says Lily Allen. Another singer who hardly makes money from her music sales is Adele, she may be world famous, but she probably makes less than 20p every time one of her albums sells.
